We have endorsed Mike Doyle for Selectman in the Town of Newbury for the Special Election on Feb 10th. In our questionnaire, Mike Doyle indicated that he opposes breed-specific (BSL) ordinances and would support the following: an ordinance that restricts the amount of time a dog can be tethered outside; an ordinance that would prohibit wild animals from performing in traveling shows in Newbury; an ordinance that requires that animals raised for food (pigs, veal calves and egg-laying hens) to be kept in a manner that allows them to turn around freely, lie down, stand up, and fully extend their limbs.
