Elections and Endorsements

We are in the process of looking at municipal elections for the Fall of 2017 and special elections due to the  death of Gailanne Cariddi, and resignations of Jennifer Flanagan and Brian Dempsey. If you know of a legislator or candidate who has done a lot for animals, please let us know. Also, if you would like to begin surveying your legislators on animal issues, please contact us at info@massvotersforanimals.org

Current Municipal Election Endorsements:

Cambridge (uses a ranking system; the 9 city council seats are all open)

Marc McGovern – #1 vote
Slate of other endorsed candidates:  Incumbents Dennis Carlone; Jan Devereux; Denise Simmons; Tim Toomey; and Craig Kelley have all taken supportive action or voted in support of animal protection measures in Cambridge, including ordinances banning circuses and animal mills and deserve your vote this fall. Candidates Quinton Zondervan; Sumbul Siddiqui; and Bryan Sutton each responded thoughtfully to our questionnaire and hold animal protection as an important value.
